Early Childhood Screenings - April 10

Posted Date: 02/05/26 (05:00 PM)

What is Early Childhood Screening?
Early childhood screenings are brief check-ups that assess how your child is developing in areas such as speech, movement, vision, hearing, and social-emotional skills.

What are the benefits of Early Childhood Screening?
Identifying developmental concerns early makes them much easier to address. These screenings help connect parents with resources to empower them. Most importantly, the screenings are designed to be quick, play-based, and non-stressful for children. There is no downside to attending, and the potential benefits for your child’s future are significant.

USD 417 Early Childhood Screenings will take place at CGES on Friday, April 10. These screenings are intended for PreK children and those aged birth to 3 years. Attendance at this screening is required for enrollment in PreK for the 2026-2027 school year. To schedule your appointment or if you have any questions, please call CGES at (620) 767-6851.
