Brier Blythe

Words from our staff…

“I truly feel so lucky to work in a district that provides such rich opportunities and resources for both staff and students. For a town our size, the experiences USD 417 offers for those it serves is impressive! For me, working in the school district I grew up in has been so special, but I’m just as proud to have witnessed the support and inclusion that our district gives to our staff and students who have transplanted here. I love to see others appreciating the town and county I know and love, and there’s a lot to love and appreciate here.”

Words from our staff…

"I have been involved with USD 417 for the majority of my life. First growing up as a student of USD 417, and now back going on year 7 as a teacher and a coach. I have had nothing but a great experience with every aspect of this District and this community. I believe it is because of the great staff that I had growing up as to why I chose the career path that I did and become a teacher. We have a great support staff, and most importantly great students to work with every day. My favorite part of teaching in USD 417 is the sense of community that I see all the time, from bake sales to basketball games, our community always does a great job of supporting one another during the good and the hard times, we always get through it together. We are dedicated to constantly improving our craft and ensuring that our students are getting what they need and deserve to succeed. I'm sure glad I made the choice to come home to USD 417 and look forward to many more great years to come!"

Words from our staff…

“I truly love being part of USD 417—not just as an educator, but also as a parent. My daughter graduated from here, and my son is currently a student, so I’ve experienced the district from both sides.

When I made a career shift and entered the classroom through a transition-to-teaching program, I was nervous. But my fellow teachers supported me every step of the way. Their encouragement, collaboration, and willingness to help made all the difference. It showed me that this district isn’t just a place to work—it’s a place to grow.”
