USD 417 Families,
 
Enrollment for the 2026-27 school year is open from April 8 to May 8, 2026. We want all returning and new students to complete this process. Enrollment is done online through PowerSchool. If you need help, call or visit one of the school buildings or the district office.
 
If your student(s) will not return, please let the school know.
 
Returning students should use the PowerSchool Parent Portal for enrollment. If you are a parent or guardian of a returning student, you already have an account. If you forgot your username or password, click "Forgot Username or Password?" on the Parent Portal and follow the prompts to recover your account.
 
New students should use the Pre-Registration Portal link provided to register. An administrator will check the information you send. You will receive an email to the address you provide, telling you if the pre-registration is approved or rejected. If approved, you will get instructions to set up a PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
 
New students must select the correct school year in the pre-registration portal, as both the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 years are available. Current USD 417 students should not use the pre-registration portal.
 
School fees will not be collected now; they will be billed on October 1 of the next school year. 
 
Free and Reduced Meal Applications will be sent out in July. Those applications can't be filled out until then. We will notify you when they are available.
 
You can find the PowerSchool icon on our website at www.usd417.org or download the PowerSchool app on your mobile device to complete enrollment.
 
Please complete the enrollment process for your students by May 8.
